Hope
what is life without hope? We do not have hope naturally; it must be practiced. There are many unpleasant things happening in the world and if we focus on them, we become hopeless.
Some examples are the COVID-19 pandemic, incurable diseases, unemployment, crime and violence, and civil wars.
Despite these seemingly unsurmountable problems, God is Sovereign and is still in control. Therefore, our hope is in him and he gives us the strength to go through each day.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2).
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18).
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19).
…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3).
Think Godly Thoughts
Our actions are directed by our thoughts. Consequently, ungodly thoughts are followed by inappropriate actions, and godly thoughts by acceptable behaviors.
Satan knows this and tries to influence us with ungodly suggestions. However, we have the power through Jesus Christ to reject his suggestions, embrace godly thoughts, and practice good deeds.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12).
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2).
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. (Philippians 4:8).
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8).
